Jonathan
Starr is always growing. As a director and photographer,
he tries to exceed his expectations with every project.
His style, although dark, and occasionally comedic, is
ever changing, and he always tries to think outside
the box with new and innovative ideas.
After
graduating from Communications at Vanier College, in Montreal
Canada, he took a break from school to pursue Production
Assistant work in the film industry. He has volunteered
for a few small films, a music video, and a feature. Eventually
his contacts led him to a Production Assistant job on set
of a feature film, Trois Saisons (dir. Jim Donovan).
Now
he is attending Communications at Concordia
University, a top film school in Canada.
One of his
earlier films, Pick up the Phone, was completed
for his final year at Vanier College in 2005, and
was an Official Selection for the Montreal Fantasia
Film Festival '07.
Although his film
resume includes more than two dozen films that he has
been involved in, not including his own, this site only
showcases a small amount of his work. It's designed to be a portfolio,
showcasing his best photographs and films.
He
is currently in pre-production on a new comedy web
series, Geeks Underground, as the Co-Director, Co-Writer,
and Producer.
